Complete 4-Point Home Inspections
Many insurance companies require homes that are more than 30 years old, or even just 10 years old, to have a 4-point inspection completed before you can obtain homeowner's insurance.
The 4-point inspection is a survey of the four major components of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC and roof inspection.
When it comes to your roof, the insurance companies are most interested in how long a life is left in it. They want to know if the roof has a remaining useful lifespan of at least 3-5 years. Your roof will be inspected for any leaks or other damage.
Note - four point inspections are intended for insurance purposes. We do not recommend using a four point inspection in place of a full home inspection during a real estate buying process as they are far less in scope.
